Classic Hatha Yoga – Individual Sessions

Suvali offers private classic hatha yoga sessions based on your individual needs. Built from a foundational level of movement, your body is gently taken through its range with correct alignment and support, progressing over time.

During each session, Suvali takes into consideration:

  • Which areas of your body need to release in order to reduce tension and improve postural alignment?
  • Which areas need more strength, space or increased range of motion?
  • How can your emotional and energetic needs be supported?
  • How can you access more ease and fullness of breath?

Sessions focus on bringing the body, mind and spirit into a place of balance and harmony.

Private sessions are 90 minutes for $160 (Includes GST)

Classic Hatha Yoga – Group Class

This class is built from a foundational level of yoga, offering options and support when needed. You are encouraged to listen to your body, your practice should be pain-free, allowing energy to flow throughout the body. Once aligned in the asana, breath, yielding and meditation is the focus.

A soothing ambiance is created through music and tone of voice. Themes such as pranayama (yogic breathing), yogic philosophy, poetry and chanting make each class a unique experience. Form is corrected with gentle informative touch and verbal cueing. Creative sequencing allows you to slowly flow from one posture to the next.

4 week series: $42 (Includes GST) – note class is limited to 5 people

What is Yoga?

The word Yoga means ‘Union’ – the Uniting of our inner world and the outer world. Uniting with divine consciousness, the divinity within you.

Yoga is a way of life, not just a series of exercises on the mat. It approaches one’s life as a spiritual journey, helping you to connect to your highest truth.

It creates support for all aspects of the being: physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual. This support is found through breath, movement, meditation, mantra, sound, spiritual philosophy and way of life.

What is Hatha yoga

Refers to a series of physical postures, known as asanas. The postures are designed to open the body so energy can flow freely. Special attention is given to the body’s main energy channel and balancing the energy centers (chakras) in the body.

The path of yoga is a powerful tool for self-transformation. It calls for us to be present in the unfolding of each moment. Each posture is a meditation with the mind focused on positioning the body and maintaining a continuous flow of breath. Once physically aligned, the attention shifts to the amount of exertion in the body – inviting it to soften and release.
